Nick Hart and his Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake
Getting a menswear specialist to makeover a high end car isn’t the most obvious route to go, but Mercedes say Savile Row’s Spencer Hart shares a creative ethos with the three pointed star, so it’s a natural fit. And actually, Spencer Hart’s creative Director, Nick Hart, has done his brand – and Mercedes’ – absolutely no harm with an appealing makeover of the Mercedes shed on steroids that is the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake. The Spencer Hart CLS gets a specially created colour - Nick Hart Midnight Blue – and instead of chrome highlights on the exterior Nick has subtle, dark shades instead.
Bentley Continental GT V8 will arrive at Detroit 2012
We’ve known for a while that Bentley and Audi are developing a V8 engine that is destined for the Continental GT. In fact, we exclusively spied the V8 Continental GT (actually, a V8 Continental GTC) just a few weeks ago. But now comes news that the Bentley Continental GT V8 will arrive at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
The Buick LaCrosse will get a four-cylinder engine that could get up to 30 mpg early next year. The LaCrosse, Buick's highly touted new sedan, will start at $26,995 with this powerplant. The direct-injection 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder makes 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque.
